About
In 2017 I moved “Across the Pond” of the Atlantic ocean to live in Texas with my husband and daughter along with our pets who made the journey with us. I was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa. I come from a ranching background and was also very fortunate to have worked in the most beautiful wilderness areas with incredible diverse wildlife in Southern Africa for many years. I shared this extraordinary privilege with visitors from all around the world, and this is how I developed my love for working with people, and how I discovered my love for design which was inspired by the African bush and living and working in the most beautiful safari lodges in Southern Africa.
My path altered from being hands on in the bush when our daughter started going to school, and I was able to practice my craft and love for design. Among some of my bigger design projects I decorated and redesigned a number of safari lodges.
Africa is very near and dear to my heart, so it naturally makes sense that the earthy colors, layers, patterns and textures of Africa is very reflective in my personal design style.
My logo design was inspired by the “Ndoro”. It is thought to have originated thousands of years ago in what is now Zimbabwe. It is an ancient symbol of status and wealth and of great spiritual importance. A high value was placed on Ndoro due to its scarcity, and played a dramatic role in early Zimbabwean history. Ancient Ndoro came from a rare shell, the bottom or flattened whorl of the shell was ground off and used as a form of adornment and currency.
